Import a PNG frame and verify photo areas
Use a transparent PNG as frame artwork. Inspect the photo slots after import; a good-looking design does not prove the capture areas are correct.

Before you begin
Android steps
- 1Open Frames → add frame. Choose the PNG with the available file/photo picker.
- 2Open the editor and match the canvas/paper size. Use photo-area detection if available, then inspect every slot.
- 3Move or resize incorrect slots. Assign capture order; duplicate slots may share the same photo index.
- 4Save the frame, select it in a demo event and inspect the composite and print.
iPhone and iPad steps
- 1Open Frames → add/import and choose the PNG. In the editor, check the canvas and paper size.
- 2Choose automatic detection when the artwork has detectable areas. Run detection and inspect the slot count and positions.
- 3Correct slots manually if detection is inaccurate. Check capture indexes and the photo/artwork layer order.
- 4Save, return to the event and select the frame. On iPhone, open the inspector for controls that do not fit beside the canvas.
Check the result
Operator check
No slot falls outside the canvas; transparency, cropping and photo order are correct in the session result.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Next step |
|---|---|
| No areas are detected | Check the transparency/photo-area color and add slots manually when needed. JPEG does not preserve PNG transparency. |
| Artwork looks pixelated | Use source resolution appropriate to the print size; enlarging the preview does not add image detail. |
