Before you begin
Android steps
- 1Open Settings → Camera → external camera. Open the compatible-camera list and choose the appropriate path: USB/UVC or DSLR/mirrorless.
- 2Set the camera USB mode according to its model instructions. Connect the data cable and grant Android USB permission to OurBooth.
- 3Select the detected device. Wait for preview, then take a still photo in a demo session.
- 4Test reconnecting while no capture is active, reopen the camera and take another photo. Enable motion only after still capture is stable.
iPhone and iPad steps
- 1Open Settings → Camera and review the sources and compatibility guidance available on the device.
- 2For a supported DSLR/mirrorless camera, follow its model-specific connection mode and connect it with a data cable and adequate power.
- 3Check detection and preview, then capture from the guest journey. Android support does not guarantee the same model works through the Apple connection path.
- 4Test again after reconnecting. If the UI gives focus, USB-mode or camera-mode guidance, follow it before retrying.

Operator check
The actual event setup detects the camera, shows preview, captures a still and recovers after reconnecting.
If something goes wrong
| Symptom | Next step |
|---|---|
| Camera is not detected | Try another data cable, check power and USB mode, and confirm the model/path in that platform’s guidance. |
| Detected but capture fails | Record the model, firmware, camera mode and error. Test focus and still capture without motion before changing other settings. |
